Mental Health has been and will continue to be an important topic for public health officials, policy makers, researchers, insures, and general public. This course is designed to broaden and enrich students’ academic experience through presentations and discussions on current public mental health issues. The sessions cover a broad spectrum of population-based, prevention-oriented concepts relevant to the professional practice of public mental health in the private and public sectors of both 2 domestic and international communities. Research on mental health by survey investigation will be emphasized.

The objective of this course is to provide students an expanded perspective on major issues in public mental health. This will include knowledge of the magnitude of the problems, recent research findings, and intervention strategies in public mental health.

成績以課堂參與討論與一次期末口頭報告為主。Assessment is based on class participation and one final presentation.
