The aim of this course is straightforward: to introduce to students a few short story writers and their works, and to encourage perceptive observations of textual and narrative subtleties. Part of the focus is on reading these works from a crafty perspective rather than a scholarly one. Students are welcome to have their creative works in-progress as the final projects. n.b. the course lecture will be delivered in mandarin
