This course delivers the fundamental concepts developed in the research of quantum fluids, namely, liquid helium-3 and 4. They include the development of cryogenic technique. Main subjects are associated with superfluidity of helium-3 and 4. Basics of hydrodynamics will be briefly introduced. Physics of helium, in particular, superfluidity of helium-3 and 4 has greatly contributed to establish fundamental concepts of not only condensed matter physics but also particle physics and/or cosmology. Physics of helium forms the most solid basis of condensed matter physics. For example, the most reliable observation of topological properties of condensed matter can be found in superfluid helium-3 and 4. In this lecture, on the basis of the previous lecture of “Quantum Fluids and Cryogenics”, the studies of superfluid phenomena will be introduced, including the frontier research of my own groups.
