概述

This module introduces students to the advanced concepts and topics of Operations Research. It includes Uncertainty and Combinatorial optimization. Besides these topics, the students also learn their applications via modern complex engineering and management problems. This module aims to provide master or doctoral students with advanced treatments of Operations Research. A rigorous and in depth approach to the fundamentals of Uncertainty and Combinatorial Optimization will be taken. In addition, modern examples in service and manufacturing management will be discussed.

教學方式

There will be 3 individual homework assignments. 上課指定該次作業,並配合助教習作課講解與討論。 Exams考試狀況: There are one midterm exam: Close book. One help sheet (A4 size, 210mm × 297mm, both sides) of handwritten notes (neither photocopied nor printed) is allowed for each exam. With the obvious exception of severe medical or other emergencies, there will be no exams given other than the announced dates and times. 計有一次期中考試,為關書測驗; 每次測驗可以攜帶一張A4尺寸手寫之幫助紙。 除特殊醫療狀況外,不得補考。

評分方式

(1) Homework (學期作業): 30%; (2) Midterm Examination (期中考):40%; (3) Term paper (期末報告): 30%
