The intent of this course aims to develop a clear logic thinking and reasoning ability for management college students who potentially attend to the advanced IT courses (e.g., artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computational intelligence and decision support system) in the near future. Through giving a brief concept of discrete mathematics, it also provides a rudimental preparation to those who have potential interest in machine learning or business intelligence. Upon completion of this course, students will have the effective logical thinking and reasoning ability for the advanced IT knowledge, and it can be further applied to the operational research in high-tech enterprises.
(A) Basic Mathematics (Undergraduate’s Level)
Pedagogy and other supplementary information (websites, TAs, handouts and/or databases): Part of lectures’ contents is organized through selecting the appropriate teaching materials, technical reports, journal papers and the relevant latest technological news.
