The course aims (1) to introduce basic knowledge and methods in Health Services Research; (2) to familiarize students with the essential elements of proposal/manuscript development. This is a 2-credit course. This course is conducted mainly with both lectures and class discussion. Students are required to make presentations and submit a research proposal/manuscript. By the end of the course, each student should have done the following tasks: 1. To understand basic knowledge in Health Services Research 2. To perform the essential elements of proposal/manuscript development 3. To constructively critique dissertation proposals and academic articles of others.
