本課程為科技與社會研究所學生第一學年之必修課程。本課程提供STS研究入門的知識地圖,系統性地介紹STS研究領域的歷史傳承、重要文獻、學科最新發展,以及相關的新興研究議題。本課程希望引導同學們了解STS研究的基本問題意識,並知曉STS研究的主要研究取徑。
無特殊先修科目需求,有科技史、醫療史、科學社會學、科學人類學等背景知識者較容易入手
期中與期末各需繳交一篇短論文,字數要求為5000-10000字間,需分別對於前九周與後九周的主題內容提出具有批判性的文獻回顧與分析,並試圖從中提出自己的初步論點。
參與討論與課堂導讀:共占40 分 期中報告與期末報告: 各30 分,共占60 分
