概述
一、課程概述 在這個全球暖化的世界,又遭疫症肆虐的地球,人類如何跟自然世界和其他物種共存,是重要且急切的議題。最新近的跨領域學術研究也在思考「後人類」和「人類世」的問題。動物與人互相依賴的需要越來越重要,而兩者之界線越來越模糊。課程分三個單元,每單元五課的形式進行: 1.單元一、動物丶科學丶生命科學 2.單元二、動物與人類之共存與異同: 智性丶倫理丶生死 3.單元三丶動物想像丶哲思丶與舞動 每單元末有考評,並有期末文章一篇,以「那些動物教我的事」為主題,並需跨越至少兩個單元裏的領域。課程沒有門檻,只要是對自身或物動有興趣以多方角度思考的同學皆適宜。 二、課程目標 本課程以跨領域跨學科的合作方式授課,從科學、生理學、醫學、心理學丶文學丶哲學和舞蹈學等多方思考動物對人的意義,以謙卑而開放的態度,試圖了解動物的人性,和人的動物性,以及兩者的差異。
評分方式
1.上課參與: 10% 2.單元末考評 (共三單元, 每單元15%, 3 x 15): 45% 3.期末跨領域報告:45% 期末跨領域報告: 以「那些動物教我的事」為主題,字數二千字 (1,000 words in English),寫成文章一篇,內容須至少涉及兩個課程單元之課題。 * Please note that plagiarism is a serious academic offence.
