With the help of digital technology, the use of interactive elements such as digital games allows communicators to capture the attention and interest of their audiences and thus deliver their messages more effectively. Mastery of relevant theoretical concepts and potential effects, as well as familiarity with the use of digital creation tools, are both core competencies for designing interactive communication content. This course covers these critical abilities for interactive virtual experience creation. In this course, you will learn important theoretical concepts and practice their application through hands-on projects. We will discuss the theoretical mechanisms of interactive elements and their potential effects and how these features can be applied to different fields to generate positive impacts. Students are expected to develop interactive virtual experiences, such as interactive news or advergames, based on relevant theories and concepts to effectively influence their audience on a cognitive, emotional, or behavioral level.
