Course outline: This is an introductory course in Linear Algebra with emphasis on basic knowledge and concepts. Course objectives: Solve the linear equation Ax=b by Gaussian elimination and Gaussian-Jordan elimination. Proof the properties of matrices and determinants and use them in solving problems. Describe and explain vector spaces: basis, dimension, change of basis, and solve linear equations. Apply eigendecomposition and singular vector decomposition and differentiate their strengths. Formulate a real-world problem as a linear algebra problem and evaluate the performance of the linear algebra solution.

High-school level mathematics and understanding in vector, matrix, and linear equations.

1) All registered students and waitlist students should appear in the first online meeting (no physical class) at 10:10, 2022/09/14 (link: https://meet.google.com/gvs-wmco-ptz). Students fail to participate in the first meeting may be withdrawn from the class as a 'no show'. 2) Lectures will be given as online meetings.
