This course is an introductory course in lasers and ultrafast optics. The main purpose is for students to obtain a solid understanding of laser basic principles, be familiar with the operation of most common laser types and broaden their horizons on frontier laser technology.
It would be helpful with a background in optics, nonlinear optics, and optoelectronics, but not necessary.
