鑒於伊斯蘭世界之經濟政治地位日益重要,接受高等教育學生確實需要瞭解伊斯蘭文明之發展,及其對於世界文化之影響。使學生能透過課程介紹及討論,去瞭解伊斯蘭宗教觀、伊斯蘭文化形成以及逐步發展至影響人類文明,迄今方興未艾之原因;以拓寬學生國際視野,獲得必須之人文涵養,培養在地關懷,學習多元思維,以期能夠與世界文化接軌。 Since economic and political status of the Islamic world has been uplifted significantly, it is necessary for students of higher education to have an understanding of the development of Islamic civilization and its impact on global culture. Students will acquire the knowledge in theological belief and cultural development of Islam, which has evolved into influencing human civilization till this day. Through presentations and discussions, aiming on broadening one’s global vision, social concerns and diverse perspectives
一般大學程度 (在新竹光復校區上課)
採取傳統教學方式在課堂授課 (在新竹光復校區上課),並以電腦簡報圖片輔佐導讀,儘量安排課外參訪。務必使學生在課堂與參訪過程中吸取相當之基本知識,再要求學生於課後自行查詢相關資料,加深瞭解後於課堂上分組討論練習。 鑒於適合本科之中文參考圖書稀少,教師將儘量編纂教材,提供書面講義與參考資料供學生閱讀。因此學習成績評量除去傳統考試外,將以學生之課堂分組討論及習作表現為主,另將安排同學進行研析評比作業,定期繳交。 本課程(包括參訪台北清真寺)已經全程錄製影音檔案,並放置於本校「開放課程」供大眾使用。

| 第 0 週 | 單元主題:參訪臺北清真寺 地點:臺北市新生南路2段62號 授課重點:清真寺建築特色、伊斯蘭宗教儀式、清真寺傳統多元功能 討論:現代的清真寺 安排事項:為避免佔用上課時段,並期使全體學員能獲得參訪與討論機會,參訪時間暫定於10月下旬以後,利用週六或週日分4批完成 Topic: Taipei Grand Mosque Visit Focus: Mosque architecture, Islamic religious ceremony, common roles of the mosque Discussion: Mosques in modern times Note: Tentatively scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays in late October or after in 4 batches to avoid occupying regular sessions. |
| 第 1 週 | 單元主題:阿拉伯、中東、伊斯蘭之間的關係 授課重點:簡介阿拉伯、中東、伊斯蘭之間的關係、早期的阿拉伯狀況、伊斯蘭的崛起與傳播、今天的伊斯蘭世界 Topic: Relationship among Arabia, Middle East and Islam Focus: Brief introduction of the relationship among Arabia, Middle East and Islam, Arabia in its early periods, the rising and spreading of Islam, as well as the Islamic world today. |
| 第 2 週 | 單元主題:續討論阿拉伯、中東與伊斯蘭之關係 授課重點:一、放映簡介阿拉伯影片,二、早期的阿拉伯狀況、伊斯蘭的崛起與傳播。討論:一神與多神信仰、游牧生活、阿拉伯半島與周邊形勢 作業:請同學就《古蘭經》與伊斯蘭宗教與律法的規範尋找相關資料,以備第5週(10月13日)課堂上分組討論 Topic: Discussion of the relationship among Arabia, Middle East and Islam. Focus: A. Feature film on Arabia. B. Status of Arabia in the early periods, rising and spreading of Islam. Discussion: Monotheism and polytheism, nomadic life, situation of the Arabian peninsula and its neighborhoods. Assignment: Exploration on related information in Quran, Islamic religion and law criteria. Group discussion will be held during week 5 (October 13) |
| 第 3 週 | 單元主題:伊斯蘭的宗教觀 授課重點:伊斯蘭教的中心思想、伊斯蘭的五功、六個基本信念 討論:《古蘭經》、《聖訓》、穆斯林對生命與死亡的概論、善功 作業:請同學選取並推薦「全球伊斯蘭新聞圖片」,並運用課堂所學,用300字以內短文說明挑選圖片原因一併電腦列印A4紙本一張。請在第6週(10月20日)以前繳交紙本作業,另訂於第8週(11月3日)公開評選 Topic: Theological beliefs in Islam Focus: Ideology of Islam. The 5 pillars and 6 beliefs in Islam. Discussion: Quran, Sunnah, introduction of Muslim’s belief on life, death and meritorious acts Assignment: Choose and recommend an “ Islamic global news Photograph” and describe the purpose of choosing it in 300 words on a printed A4 before week 6 (October 20). Selection will be held publicly on week 8 (November 3). |
| 第 4 週 | 單元主題:伊斯蘭律法 授課重點:律法與宗教規範、律法的特色、法源、人類行為與社會規範、伊斯蘭律法的遺產繼承、認養子嗣、表親通婚、倫常關係、乳母、男女平權或男女有別、夫妻分產、保障婦女繼承 Topic: Islamic Law Focus: Law and religious criteria. Characteristics and origins of Islamic law. Standards in human behavior and society. Inheritance, adoption, marriage between cousins, moral principles, foster-nurse, qual rights or not between male and female, division of properties between spouses and assurance of female inheritance in Islamic law. |

| 第 6 週 | 單元主題:伊斯蘭的政治觀 授課重點:早期的伊斯蘭社會、伊斯蘭國家雛形、遜尼派與什葉派、阿拉伯的王朝、蒙古人攻陷巴格達的影響、非阿拉伯政治勢力的興起、十字軍東征、鄂圖曼帝國、哈里法制度的終結 作業:請同學蒐集並評估指定範圍內之伊斯蘭國家資料後,撰寫[研析報告]並於第10週(11月17日)繳交紙本作業,第13週 (12月8日) 進行分組研討 提醒:本週必須繳交「伊斯蘭新聞圖片」紙本作業 Topic: Political ideology in Islam Focus: Islamic society in the early periods. Prototype of an Islamic country. Sunni and Shia. Arabian empires. Falling of Baghdad to the Mughals or Mongols. Rising influence of the non-Arabic politics. The Crusades. Ottoman Empire. Termination of the Caliphates. Assignment: Search and analyze information within the given range of Islamic countries. Printed reports due on week 10 (November 17).
