(Course Description & Objectives): Book III is a comprehensive learning material that focuses on spoken language. Also, this book starts the training of written language by learning long dialogues. Therefore, students are expected to talk and read freely on various subjects.

Finish <A Course in Contemporary Chinese> I and <A Course in Contemporary Chinese>II NOTE: Students who attend from the start will have priority to be accepted.

Reminders: 1. For effective learning, students are required to hand write the vocabulary (Chinese characters) in every lesson for multiple times to achieve familiarity. 2. Regular attendance is required, and students who have more than 5 unexcused absences will be failed. A total absence of 1/3 of course hours will lead to an automatic failure.

Evaluation: Attendance and Participation: 30% Homework and Quizzes: 30% Midterm Exam (oral and written): 20% Final Exam (oral and written): 20%
