概述

The purpose of this course is to offer a basic and advanced background of materials based on physics and chemistry. This course focuses on the fundamentals for understanding the nature of materials and the change of states. It covers thermodynamics, electrochemistry, and kinetics, which are the basis for materials processing and production. Furthermore, this course will cover emerging energy materials and applications.

Advanced knowledge in chemistry, physics, and materials science; Lectures will be taught in English.

Lecture notes will be provided to students in class or via a teaching website by the instructor.

評分方式

Students are required to attend the scheduled lectures. Weekly homework assignments for presentation, a mid-term exam, and a term project are based on practically applicable concepts in industries. Grade method: Discussion and participation in class: 5% Presentation of weekly homework assignments and lab reports: 30% In-class midterm exam: 25% In-class finalterm exam & Term project (presentation and report): 40% Total: 100%
