概述

教學目標: 1. 建立老化認知神經科學、高齡心理學與終身(life-span)認知發展的知識與基本理論。 (Developing knowledge and theories of cognitive neuroscience of aging, psychology of aging, and lifespan development) 2. 運用認知神經科學與高齡認知的相關知識了解在認知發展與退化中對於個人心理與社會行為所產生的變化、環境與學習的影響以及背後可能有關的神經機制。(Discussing the effects of aging on the individual's psychological and behavioral development, the environmental factors and learning, and the possible neural mechanisms behind the development of cognitive abilities and the process of cognitive decline) 課程介紹: 本課程將從腦與心智科學的角度來介紹老化認知神經科學來探討人的生命歷程,並將知識應用於認知發展與老化的議題上。包含大腦在老化過程中產生的結構與功能性改變;記憶力、注意力、語言等認知與知覺功能的變化;後天的環境因素、個人學習歷程對於老化與大腦的影響。並了解認知增強與大腦可塑性背後可能的神經與生理機制以探討教育、複雜的心智歷程活動、運動、社交與認知訓練的長期效應對於大腦的老化與預防失智症可能的效應。 (This course will introduce the cognitive neuroscience of aging from the perspective of brain and psychological science to explore the human life course and apply the knowledge to the issues of cognitive development and aging. This course will also include the brain structural and functional changes during the aging process; changes in cognitive and perceptual functions such as memory, attention, and language; the effect of environmental and learning. We will discuss the possible neural and physiological mechanisms behind cognitive enhancement and brain plasticity to explore the long-term effects of education, mental process activities, exercise, social and cognitive training on the aging of the brain as well as the possible strategies of dementia prevention and intervention.)
