認知功能障礙實證照護與應用

一、Course Introduction: This course facilitates students' understanding of cognitive function, changes in cognitive function and care for people at high risk for cognitive impairment and dementia; practicing screening and assessment; and enhancing students' reading and integration of the latest literature on cognitive dysfunction. Through an integrated and empirical literature review and group discussions, students can select and develop interventions to improve or promote cognitive function in populations at high risk of cognitive impairment and dementia. Special topics will cover the issues and policies related to daily living arrangements in a residential institution for dementia and dementia friendly communities. It is expected that after the course, students will be able to help effectively prevent and delay cognitive decline in the elderly and improve the quality of life of people with cognitive disabilities in the community or long-term care facilities. 二、Course Objectives Through participation in the course the student will be able: 1. To understand cognitive function, cognitive function changes and care for people at high risk for cognitive impairment and dementia. 2. To implement appropriate cognitive screening and assessment. 3. Be familiar with the skills of literature search, review, analysis in cognitive related research. 4. To explore interventions to promote cognitive health or alleviating cognitive decline in people at high risk for cognitive impairment and dementia. 5. Can match multi-disciplinary resources and cognitive impairment care policies to help students develop innovative cognitive care strategies and program.
