建築與環境概論

建築與環境無法切割也不可分開來談。所有的建築物皆存在於某個特定環境之中。兩者同時存在,並且相互影響。建築與環境的互動在不同的歷史背景、經濟趨勢、人文訴求等特定條件之下,透過設計者的詮釋,展現無限的作用張力和可能性。我們將透過四種尺度(S,M,L,XL)檢視建築與環境的關係,並且藉由案例分析方法認識建築從現代主義至今的發展脈絡,包括其中具影響力的主要推手及其代表作品。課程目的是培養思辨與觀察能力,練習以多元的角度(綜觀與微觀、縱向與橫向)理解建築與環境的動態關係。向建築大師致敬的同時,也希望啟發對空間的創意想像。 Architecture and its environment cannot be examined separately. All architecture dwell in certain specific environment and their co-existence affects each other. Architecture and its environment interact with each other under different historical backgrounds, economic trends and cultural inclinations, and through the different interpretation of the designers, infinite dynamics and possibilities are revealed. In this class, we will examine architecture and its environment in four different scales: small, medium, large and extra large. Through analyzing the different case studies, we will learn the architectural development from Modernism until today by studying the key influential figures and their masterpieces. The intention is to encourage critical thinking and in-depth observation on the cases and practice understanding architecture and its environment through a multi-perspective (cross-disciplinary) way. While we pay respect to the architectural masters, we wish to inspire spatial creativity and imagination.
