概述
This course provides an introduction to fundamental concepts in modern linguistics, with emphasis on linguistic analysis. Lectures and review sections will further develop selected topics of importance. Classroom work will emphasize the development of the ability to apply linguistic principles to the analysis of data drawn from a variety of languages.

Note: the weeks on the syllabus are idealized chunks of time. Not all have the same absolute duration. We will be somewhat flexible.
