This course aims to bring to students the experiences in reading, evaluating, writing technical reports and also the presentation skills. The purpose is to provide to early writers the easy to follow ideas when it comes to formally presenting the results of their work. The students will be asked for the practical exercises during the lectures or as the homework. The highlights for dealing with web-based material and the usage of contemporary editing tools will also be introduced.
Laptop computer will be required for the classes.
There will be around 7-8 homework for exercises (80%) and a final oral presentation (20%). No exams. [Important Notice]: Students who are interested in taking this class (no matter registered or not), please do attend the first class. I will not accept any students after the first class. Besides, owing to the limited quota of the class, for the registered students, if you do not appear at the first class, you will be dropped and the quota will be opened directly to other students on the day who wish to take the class.
