概述

This course aims to analyze technology management literature by first-principle approach. Academic papers are deconstructed into systematic components, e.g. external Environment, literature analysis leading to the argument, what is the problem? what is literature gap? what does this research contribute to the scholarly literature by addressing the problem, etc. The deconstruction of research paper is associated with subsequent reconstruction process to develop new knowledge. The objective of this course is to help student build up a reservoir of “first principles” in technology management and associate those principles with different fields. Students can learn how to deconstruct knowledge into fundamental principles then reconstruct the fundamental principles in new fields to facilitate efficient learning transfer and knowledge recombination. In summary, this course provides advanced perspective on how to ananlyze literature in the field of Technology Management. Students who like to develop advanced literature analysis capability are encouraged to take fundamental level of “Literature Analysis on Technology Management” before this advanced one.
