概述

The aim of this course is to enhance students' critical English reading abilities and develop students' ability to write well-developed academic writing. Students will read a variety of text styles with enhanced fluency following coherent and effective use of reading strategies. Students will also actively engage in extensive reading on different topics (e.g., environmental studies, economics, and global studies). One of the aims of this course is to help students generate their writing ideas through an online knowledge-building forum where they can contribute and reorganize their ideas with their peers. Eventually, students can build up solid ideas for finishing their academic essays.
