課程概述與目標: 課程概述: 本課程旨在幫助學生對前沿生物醫學研究獲得寶貴的見解。學生將透過課堂演示和討論探索新發現、新興技術及其對醫療保健的潛在影響。課程將邀請紐約大學校友以及來自學術界和工業界的傑出演講嘉賓分享他們最新的研究/工業成果,並就生物醫學研究的未來方向進行充分討論。 課程目標: 1.向學生介紹生物醫學研究的最新進展。 2. 讓學生熟悉該領域所採用的研究方法與技術。 3.透過評估和討論科學研究,培養批判性思考和分析能力。 4. 鼓勵學生探索生物醫學研究領域的潛在職業道路。 5.增強學生對跨學科方法重要性的理解。 Course Overview: This course aims to help students develop valuable insights into cutting-edge biomedical research. Students will explore novel discoveries, emerging technologies, and their potential impact on healthcare through in-class presentations and discussions. The course will invite alums of NYCU and distinguished guest speakers from the academic and industrial communities to share their latest research/ industrial findings and provide full discussions on the future directions of biomedical research. Course Objectives: 1. Introduce students to the latest advancements in biomedical research. 2. Familiarize students with the research methodologies and techniques employed in the field. 3. Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through evaluating and discussing scientific research. 4. Encourage students to explore potential career paths in biomedical research. 5. Enhance students' understanding of the importance of interdisciplinary approaches.
建議具備生物學和生物化學的基礎知識,以理解課程中討論的基本概念。熟悉研究方法和術語將有助於參與討論和批判性地分析所提出的研究結果。 Basic knowledge of biology and biochemistry is recommended to understand the fundamental concepts discussed in the course. Familiarity with research methodologies and terminology will be beneficial for engaging in discussions and critically analyzing the presented research findings.
