course description: In this course, students will understand the role and function for advanced practice nurse (APN) and allied health professions through visiting the US medical institutions, and discussing with the DNP program faculty. We hope students can observe and compare with the roles and functions of APN and allied health professions in the transcultural background. In the course, students will also initiate the idea of evidence-based practice for DNP project. Course objectives: After completing the course, the students will understand/complete 1. The role and function for US advanced practice nurses and allied health professions between different medical institutions 2. The proposal of evidence-based project 3. How to give the advices for developing advanced practice nurse and allied health professions role functions in Taiwan
1. participation in class 30% 2. Presentation 1. The EBP topic report: 20% 2. EBP oral presentation: 30% 3. Reflection & Recommendation 20% 4. Final written EBP project: (bonus) (Written in APA format, deadline on Dec. 15th)
