The overall goal of this class is to facilitate the research abilities and to help graduate students in develop the critical thinking and research skills. The objectives of the course are to: 1. Evaluate and integrate research papers astutely 2. Increase the critical thinking abilities 3. Be familiar with the skills of literature review, analysis, and application 4. Facilitate students’ abilities in constructing their research proposal 5. Help students to connect nursing concepts to research 6. Refine the skills related to research process through class discussion

1. Systematic review of literature 2. Presentation of literature or research progress 3. Organization and leading discussion 4. Research and concepts critique skills 5. Participating discussion

1. Attendance (20%) 2. Presentation (40%) Please prepare for a precise 30 minutes presentation and respond to the comments and open discussion for another 20 minutes. Please send the topic and contents of your presentation to the E-campus 2 days prior to your presentation. Presenters are highly recommended to discuss the contents of the presentations with mentor prior to the presentations. 3. Comments of the presentation (10%) The role of commentators is to raise questions and make insightful comments to further contribute to the quality of the presentations. 4. Written summary of your presentation (30%) One report is due on 2021/12/31 with the APA (7th ed.) format (combined with reference software). The paper must be typed on a computer and comply with the following requirements: Font: Times New Roman/標楷體 font size 12 and a line spacing of 1.5. Word count: The length is maximum 15 pages. Footnotes should be included in the word count of the main text. Not included in this count: the front page (with name and title etc), Abstract, table of contents and references (bibliography).
