The objective of the course is to introduce the nature and design of management research. The methods of survey research, data collection, and implementation procedure are main focuses of this course.

Description of Course Details: 1. Homework and Assignments: Individual Assignment (30%) In this course, you will have a total of 6 individual assignments. These assignments should be submitted as Word files on the E3 platform by 1:00 PM on the Sunday after the week’s classes end. Submitting on time is crucial, as late submissions will incur a 10% daily deduction penalty. To maintain academic integrity, write your assignments in your own words and avoid plagiarism. Plagiarism will lead to a score of 0 for the assignment. Your assignment should be double-spaced and written in 12-point font. Please prepare your assignment in a Word document. Save the file with the name “Your student ID_RM.doc.” Group Paper Presentation (25%) In this assignment, each group consisting of 2-3 members will deliver a group presentation. Each group member is required to present on stage. The group should select one article from a Q1-level journal in the SSCI database and focus on reporting the research methods employed in that article. It is recommended to initially select 2-3 potential articles and confirm the final choice with me during the midterm week. Additionally, each group must submit both a Word file and a PowerPoint file. The PowerPoint file should be uploaded to the E3 platform no later than 1:00 PM, three days before the presentation date. The Word file should be uploaded to the E3 platform by January 9th, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Exams and Quizzes (25%) There will be one final exam. Impression & Participation (20%) Your class participation score will begin at zero and will be based on your engagement in in-class exercises and activities. Attendance Policy Attendance records will be based on exams, group discussions, roll calls, and in-class activities. Each student is allowed to have up to 3 hours of absence without any justification required. For every hour of absence beyond the exempted limit, 1 point will be deducted from the final grade. If you are absent due to illness, an unexcused absence may be recorded unless you provide a diagnosis statement or medical receipt, depending on the circumstances. You will fail this class if you miss more than 12 class hours. 2. Exams and Quizzes: One final exam. 3.
