Inorganic Chemistry I is the Fall term course in a two-semester Inorganic Chemistry. The course is intended mostly for students in chemistry major. The major goal of this course is to introduce varies fields related in inorganic chemistry. The specific content in the second semester will be group theory and its application, molecular orbital theory, crystalline structure, and main group chemistry. Most of compounds introduced in this course are conteining d- and f-group metal atoms. The topics to be covered include historical review, structure, reactions, bonding models, electronic properties, and spectroscopy. Current literatures that are related to this course will also be presented.
