概述
現代文明應用中之系統,多為整合個別領域知識及技術後,方能呈現其功能及應用。本系課程多專注於化學及材料科學等先進物質知識之傳授,學生對於這些物質如何於系統中扮演其重要腳色尚不熟悉。本課程將引導學生認識: 1.現今各功能性系統 2.化學及材料於各功能性系統中的作用 3.功能性系統中各化學及材料之相關知識:物質結構,基本化學反應及製造技術 4.各種物質於系統中之功能性 5.各種功能性系統之產業現況及化學與材料科技發展對其之影響

教學方式
本課程修課學生每組必須選擇二個主題,認真進行資料蒐集及整理 ,每一個主題之資料與教師討論後,分享予其他修課同學,於課堂中進行報告及群組討論 本課程上限 16 人,以 2 人一組,共 8 組進行
評分方式
1. 資料蒐集與整理 20% 2. 報告 40% 3. 出席及討論參與情形 20% 4. 期末小測驗 20%
