Class Participation: Thorough preparation, timely arrival, regular attendance, active participation, a supportive attitude toward your classmates, and timely completion of all assignments are expected. In the classroom I use a combination of an interactive lecture-discussion method, so you may be called on. Policy Regarding Collaboration: The principal goal of this policy is to ensure that each assignment a student submits is the student’s own work product. To that end, students may collaborate with other classmates with regard to the content of an assignment, the general plan of research, and the general approach to the problem presented. However, students must work independently during the writing process. Students are encouraged to bring concerns or questions about this policy to the professor. Policy Regarding the Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools Students are required to utilize various artificial intelligence tools to enhance their understanding of course material and to assist in the creation of assignments. By utilizing artificial intelligence tools in their coursework, students will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and understanding of this rapidly-evolving technology and to learn how this technology can enhance the work of lawyers. Students are still expected to complete all assignments to the best of their ability. The use of artificial intelligence tools should not be used as a substitute for a good faith completion of assignments.
