Due to frequent large-scale industrial disasters in the past two decades, the industry's concept of safety has evolved from traditional passive containment and prevention to proactive, intrinsically safe design and improvement. Technologies such as intrinsically safe design and hazard and risk assessment have been widely used across countries. It has become an essential tool for engineers to design and operate industrial procedures in heavy chemical refining, aerospace, and machinery industries. However, because traditional engineering education focuses on discussing basic engineering theories and the application of technology and rarely provides safety-related courses, the concept of safety among general engineering students remains in the traditional compliance with fire protection and labor safety regulations. As the industry attaches great importance to safety work in recent years, the demand for safety engineers has also increased accordingly. The main purpose of this course is to provide the evaluation of intrinsically safe conceptual design methods and disaster prevention technologies required by professional engineers. The content emphasizes the introduction of concepts and methods and the application of cases, avoiding the discussion of basic theories and deduction of formulas. This course comprises five main topics: Introduction, Hazards, Design and Planning, Hazard Control, and Assessment and Management. 過去二十年來於大型工業災變頻繁,產業界對於安全的觀念由傳統被動式的圍堵與防範演進為主動式的本質安全的設計與改善本質安全設計、危害與風險評估等技術已普遍應用於跨國性重化煉油、航太與機械工業中,成為工程師設計與操作工業程序必備的工具。然而由於傳統工程教育偏重於基本工程理論的探討與技術的應用,甚少提供安全相關課程,一般工程科系學生對於安全的觀念,仍停留在傳統的消防與勞安法規的遵循。近年来由於産業界日盒重視安全工作,安全工程師的需求也相對地增加。 本課程主要目的在於提供專業工程師所需的本質安全的觀念設計方法評估與災變防範技術等,内容强調觀念、方法的介紹與案例的應用,避免基本理論的探討與公式推演。本課程共分為導論、危害、設計與規劃、危害控制、評估與管理等五個主要議題
