Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is the major tool to understand the workings of the human mind. It records changes in blood oxygenation level that indirectly reflect neural activity. Through analyzing how these signals change as a result of cognitive activity, neuroscientists are beginning to understand the neurobiological foundations of cognition, emotion, motivation, memory, language, learning, and decision making. This course will introduce major data analysis methods, their theories and applications. Students will analyze different datasets using these methods.
