概述
This one-semester English course is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts of interpretation and its use in the real world. Students will gain knowledge of interpretation as well as learn and develop basic techniques to interpret a short public speech from Chinese into English and vice versa. Basic training and techniques enhancing students’ interpretation skills will be covered in the first half of the semester, while we are going to have various interpretation practices and mock conferences in the second half of the semester.

1. attendance and participation: 25% 2. interpretation and mock conferences: 25% 3. assignments and portfolios: 30% 4. final exam: 20%
