1. 10 years later, you will all be selling something to someone. 2. Your career success will be determined largely by your ability to SPEAK (=public speaking/presentation), your ability to WRITE/CREATE, and the quality of your IDEAS, in that order. 3. The quality of presentation = function of (KNOWLEDGE, PRACTICE, talent), in this workshop we focus on establishing the foundational KNOWLEDGE of public speaking through intensive PRACTICE via individual/group presentations on diverse topics. The goal is to equip students with the mindset (mentality & strategy) and skill set (design & delivery) of presentations that are essential for future academic and personal success. 4. I provide detailed feedback on your presentations not to criticize you, but to help you grow into a successful professional in whatever career you choose to pursue, so please entertain a growth mindset and don't be a snowflake. 5. I don’t like ppl using cell phones in class (unless you are looking up info for the class activities).

1. [30%] 2-minute elevator speech practice (6 in total, 5% each) 2. [20%] Mid-term presentation (15% instructor's evaluation + 5% After Action Review) 3. [5%] Post-it workshop 4. [20%] Dry-run for the final presentation (10% instructor's evaluation + 5% After Action Review) 5. [25%] Final presentation (=10% peer evaluation + 10% instructor's evaluation + 5% After Action Review) *Topics for mid-term / final presentation* a. How did/do you solve a (specific) problem? b.
