We will introduce the fundamental electromagnetic theory of lights to explain the various optical phenomena, including reflection, refraction, interference, diffraction, beam/pulse propagation, spatial/temporal coherence, resonance, polarization, and birefringence. Students should be able to understand all the optical phenomena more deeply after going through the course.
Electromagnetism
The lecture will be given physically (實體上課).
Homework (50%), mid-term exam (25%), final exam (25%)
