Entrepreneurship is a course of behaviours that enables us to identify, evaluate and exploit opportunities regardless of the resources we currently control. The task and environment facing the entrepreneur is complicated and challenging. This course aims to provide students with an overview of entrepreneurship and skills involved in launching and leading businesses. Some of the key topics covered include: (1) challenges of entrepreneurship, (2) techniques for improving the creative process, (3) evaluating the viability of a business idea, (4) how to recruit, select and incentivize an entrepreneurial team, and (5) how to finance a new venture. The course should be of particular interest to students aiming to become entrepreneurs or project leaders in charge of new business development.
