1. Exams and Quizzes: This course does not include traditional exams or quizzes. 2. Evaluation and Grading Policy: (1) Group Case Study Presentations (15% * 2 = 30%): * Students will be organized into groups of five, with group assignments finalized by the end of the first week of the semester. * Each group is tasked with analyzing assigned cases from the syllabus, presenting solutions to the identified problems. * Groups are expected to articulate and persuade the audience that their solutions are evidence-based, practical, and logical. * The instructor may actively facilitate discussions by prompting groups with differing solutions to engage in debates. Your responses during these discussions will be considered in the grading process. (2) Individual Presentation (30%): Each student can choose either one of the options for their individual presentation. * Option 1. You must introduce the company you are applying for by delivering a presentation during the interview. Hint: Think of this interview as a chance to promote yourself – Why are you suitable for this company? What contributions will you make in your role? Why should the company hire you? This option is suitable for someone who has an ideal job position to apply for, and it is a good chance for the person to practice. * Option 2. Present the case "JPMorgan Chase: Tapping an Overlooked Talent Pool" or "Dow: Breakthroughs to World Challenges" and answer the questions listed in the case study. In your presentation, you are expected to: summarize the case (the background, the problems, and relevant data...) and answer the questions with your reasoning and analysis. Either you choose option 1 or 2, the same rules apply: * The presentation should be 8~10 minutes. * You are welcome to apply what you have learned from other courses, such as marketing, strategy management, accounting, financial management, information management, statistics, etc., if you think the concepts are suitable for the presentation. * You are allowed to use slides during the presentation. * Please also consider your non-verbal language, including your body language, facial expression, and outfit, during the presentation. (3) Class Participation (40%): Students are required to showcase the following outcomes within the deadlines specified in the syllabus. * Craft LinkedIn Profile or Personal Webpage (10%) * Develop Curriculum Vitae (CV) (10%) * In-class practice and attendance (20%): If you are absent without prior notification for more than three times (including three), you will not be able to pass this course.
