概述

Course Description: This is a culture-centered course focusing on students' learning needs and interests. The main goal is to provide students with a tailored and suitable English learning environment in which they can improve their cultural literacy. Various class activities such as discussions, presentations, game competitions and role-play are incorporated to strengthen students' cultural competence. In addition, students will be provided with opportunities to experience different cultural phenomena, which helps them to cultivate multiple global perspectives and to prepare them to be global citizens. Learning Objectives On completion of the course, students should be able to 1) provide real-life examples of social and cultural diversity; 2) demonstrate their multicultural awareness and appreciation; 3) use idiomatic expressions acquired in the course; and 4) express their opinions on diversity issues more confidently.
