華語(一)

This class is designed for students who have never learned Chinese before. The course will be covering from phonics/pinyin to basic daily conversation. Students will also learn how to ask questions and answer simple questions, or make simple suggestions. Classes include listening, speaking, reading and writing.

1. Teacher reserves the right to drop and reject the students who miss the first and/ or second class. 2. Attend the class and complete the homework or tasks on time. 3. Make up quiz, test, presentations are “NOT” acceptable. Only if absent because of “health issue”, please show an official prove of hospital to get permission of make up test or quiz. 4. Participate discussions and practices during the class. 5. No cellphones and other electronic things during class. 6. The syllabus can be modified during the semester depending on the condition of students’ learning. 7. Absence for 3 times without a valid excuse or more than 6 times will result in a failing grade for the entire course.
