This is a 3-credit, one-semester course, intended to introduce the concept of measurement and the related instrumentation requirement as a vital ingredient of biomedical engineering. From this course students will learn how to perform successful experiments and estimate the accuracy of their measurement using the knowledge of physical or engineering analysis techniques. This course is appropriate for junior or senior undergraduate students and graduate students majoring in biomedical engineering.

The final grade will be based on the following weight: 15% Homework 20% In-class quizzes 15% Term project in PowerPoint format 25% 2-hour midterm 25% 2-hour final exam
