概述
The course covers the fundamental of thermodynamics and statistical mechanics -- emphasizing more on the latter. Starting with the concept of temperature and entropy, we will build a solid background in Boltzmann, Bose, and Fermi statitics; chemical potential and Gibbs free energy. At the end I will touch on special topics that are most relevant for us "electrophysicist" and apply what we have learned to the semiconductor systems.
