The purpose of this course is to cover basic materials such as: point set topology in the framework of metric spaces, a systemic treatment of the theory of convergence (for both numerical sequences and sequences of elements in metric spaces ), the proof of basic theorems in differential calculus and integral calculus. The concept of Riemann integrals will be stressed. Based on a well-developed understanding of the elements of point set topology in the framework of metric spaces, we will also introduce advanced concepts such as Lebesgue measure and Lebesgue integral in the Euclidean space setting. If time will permit, we will briefly discuss concepts such as the Lebesgue L^p space in the Euclidean setting.
