晶體學是一門研究原子在材料中堆積的一門科學,從原子結構的對稱性出發,我們將逐步探討晶體系、Bravais晶格、點群、以至於平面群與空間群,最後建構出我們所知的材料微結構。課程中也會穿插幾個特殊的專題研究,讓同學可以知道課堂所學之晶體特性如何影響材料的物理性質。 Crystallography is the basis of material science concerning how atoms arranage in a specific way in the materials. This course will begin with the "symmetry" in nature, and then focus on how the crystal system, Bravais lattice, point group, and finally plane/space group are established. So student will be able to describe what is the microstructure of materials and its associated crystallographic characteristics. During the semenster, several special seminars will be given to support the main content of crystallography to let students understand the correlation between materials crystal structure and the associated physical properties.
材料科學導論 Introduction to material science and engineering
除了每周針對晶體學內容做課程講解,課後會有一個小組討論時間,簡報與當堂課程內容有關聯的學術發表,以及其內容是甚麼。 課程會搭配助教一名,負責作業與考試的批改。
