概述

Prof. Y. Tobe: The course will be taught using the contents of Advanced Organic Chemistry, Part A (Chapters 1-3 and 8, sections indicated below) and the materials prepared by the teacher. Prof. Y.-K. Wu: The course will be taught using the contents of Advanced Organic Chemistry, Part A (Chapter 10) and Part B (chapters 6 and 13) and the materials prepared by the teacher. The goal of our course is to enable students to build on the foundation of organic chemistry and extend their knowledge to synthetic applications. The course allows the students to attain a level of knowledge to understand much of the material that appeared in contemporary chemical literature.

先修科目

Students should finish Undergraduate Organic Chemistry I and II. As the course will be given in English, students should have the ability for English listening and writing.

評分方式

Prof. Y. Tobe (50%): There will be three or four short exercises during the course in addition to the mid-term exam (Oct. 21, 2024). Attending each exercise counts as 1 point. The final score is a total of 50 points, which is the sum of the scores of the exercises and the mid-term exam. Prof. Y.-K. Wu (50%): The scores are based on the final exam (Dec. 16, 2024). The date of the mid-term and final exams will be announced in the class.
