The objective of this course is to provide the students with the basic knowledge and skills for working as a supply chain professional under a global context. In particular, students are expected to be equipped with the capabilities of perform the planning and making the decisions for international companies. The course starts with the background and the basic components of logistics management and supply chain management. The practical decision problems for global logistics operation and multi-national companies will be emphasized. Several insightful articles from Harvard Business Review (HBR) will be discussed based on a case-teaching method to enhance the understanding of the real-word issues and the importance of supply chain integration. Finally, students are required to form a team to do a comprehensive project to further raise the readiness of working as a supply chain professional for a global company.

Lectures in English (with some case discussion sections and final project presentation and report)
Evaluation: 1) Article/Case Discussion: 20%; 2) Exam: 50%; 3) Final Project Presentation and Report: 30%.
