The aim of this course is to enhance students' critical English reading abilities and develop students' ability to write well-developed paragraphs of college writing. Students will read a variety of texts styles with enhanced fluency following coherent and effective use of reading strategies. Students will also actively engage in extensive reading with a critical perspective (e.g., distinguishing between fact and opinion, evaluating sources, and identifying points of view).For writing, students will build their paragraph writing skills and eventually learn to the ability to write a five paragraph essay following logical division of ideas.
