This course is designed with a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach. Through the study of 420 key Bible verses compiled by the instructor from the New Testament, students will enhance not only their knowledge of the Bible, but also develop English reading, writing, speaking, listening skills, and cultural awareness through a variety of in-class interactions and activities and out-of-class practices. The course aims to provide a unique and culturally rich context for content and language learning, allowing students to explore biblical themes while developing their language proficiency.
1. Attendance and in-class participation (40%) 2. Ten 15-minute self-talking recording assignments (30%) 3. Ten Listening Tasks: (30%) (1) view one YouTube video, (2) list new vocabulary learned, (3) write down one quotation from the video, and (4) write a brief reflection)
