This course is an advanced course of the introduction to the Internet of Things. Through various sensing components and identification components, you will learn about smart objects, Internet of Things, heterogeneous network gateways, and related IoT system implementations. Through the study of sensors, end devices, 5G and IETF protocols, security issues, AI-enabled IoT systems, the students are expected to learn the core technologies of the Internet of Things. The course will include lectures, presentations, and a final project. The course content will cover following topics: IoT architecture, IoT sensing network technology, IoT low-power wide area network, IoT system IP technology, IoT cloud management platform, IoT system security technology, AI-enabled IoT applications, etc.
Computer networks
Instruction and project-based learning. Course material is available on E3 learning platform.
Final exam.: 30% Paper presentation: 20% Final project: 50%
