微菌叢與人類疾病

本堂課程的特定目標如下: 一、建立微菌叢與人類疾病的重要核心能力。 二、建立微菌叢相關研究的重要知識與能力。 三、建立在國際期刊發表微菌叢研究成果的能力。 This course is specifically designed for students who have interests to conduct microbiota research, and published papers in international scientific journals. The first part of the course introduces microbiota bioinformatics analysis, microbial biochemical and physiological analysis, and the interaction between pathogens and microbiota. The second part of the course introduces the roles of microbiota in human diseases, such as digestive diseases, cancers, metabolic diseases, dermatological diseases, and autoimmune diseases, etc. Fecal microbiota transplantation is also discussed. The specific aims are as follows. First, establish the important core knowledge of microbiota. Second, establish the essential ability to do microbiota study. Third, establish the capability to publish microbiota research articles in international scientific journals.

本課程以全英文授課。 The classes are conducted in English.

課堂出席率、參與課堂討論、以及期末報告,將分別佔學期成績的30%、20%、50%。 Course attendance rate, course participation rate, and final report will contribute to 30%, 20%, and 50% of final scores, respectively.
