In this course, students will explore the impact of cultural factors on healthcare systems, focusing on the roles and functions of Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) and allied health professionals in the world. Discussions will extend to comparing these roles and functions within a transcultural context, encouraging students to observe and analyze differences and similarities. Additionally, the course will cover the implementation of evidence-based practice. Through these discussions and analyses, the course aims to foster a deeper understanding of how cultural diversity influences healthcare delivery and professional practice. After completing the course, the students will understand/complete 1. The role and function for US advanced practice nurses and allied health professions between different medical institutions. 2. A proposal of evidence-based project. 3. How to give the advices for developing advanced practice nurse and allied health profession’s role functions in Taiwan.
