生理學雖然是一門古老而傳統的學門,但是神經生理學卻是最近五十年才迅速蓬勃發展的。因電生理膜箝制技術、分子生物學、物理、化學與光學顯微鏡的進步,使得神經生理學的研究進入了分子與細胞的層次。在這門課我以說故事的口吻,詳述過去半個世紀神經科學家對神經系統的研究與發現,內容包括傳統神經生理和近代以分子與細胞為研究對象的分子細胞神經生理學,到以神經網路為主的系統神經生理學與計算神經科學,這門課相當受到大學部學生喜愛,2024年起以英文授課。 Although physiology is an ancient and traditional discipline, neurophysiology has only rapidly flourished over the past fifty years. Advances in electrophysiological patch-clamp techniques, molecular biology, physics, chemistry, and optical microscopy have enabled neurophysiological research to delve into molecular and cellular levels. In this course, I adopt a storytelling approach to detail the research and discoveries of neuroscientists over the past half-century. The content covers traditional neurophysiology, modern molecular and cellular neurophysiology focusing on molecular and cellular targets, as well as systems neurophysiology and computational neuroscience centered on neural networks. This course is highly popular among undergraduate students and will be taught in English starting in 2024.
