近三十年民族誌成為人文科學探究當代社會所使用的核心方法之一,也是了解科技與醫療場域的重要工具。本課程將以晚近醫療現場的民族誌研究為基礎,側重組織性醫療、疾病知識、跨專業照護、臨終處遇等課題,以共同閱讀、深度討論與案例分析的方式,探究在生物醫療化與醫療科技發展下,做為實證基礎的民族誌的各種書寫可能。
1. 學術英文文獻閱讀能力。2. 科技與社會研究基本認識。3. 民族誌書寫基本認識。
週二下午(第9節,上課7次,每次約3小時。實際上課時間與規畫將於第一周時由授課教師與修課同學商定) 課程進行方式:上課同學需事先閱讀指定教材,並擔任1-2次的課程導讀。課程將以授課老師引導介紹、共同閱讀與分析教材,與討論相關課題等方式交錯進行。修課同學需在上課前一晚的12點之前上傳導讀資料並提出問題。
課程考核方式:除上課參與表現(40%)之外,修課同學必須繳交八千字上下的研究報告(60%),內容與題目需與授課老師討論後方能進行。
